With the ongoing spread and fear of the global pandemic, coronavirus (COVID-19), I am sure there are many of you wondering what this means for your peace of mind, your mental health, and your ability to start or continue treatment.
Our office is fully aware of these troubling times and want to reassure you that Duluth TMS remains open for our current patients receiving treatments and for those of you that wish to start a series to put your depression into remission.
As many of you are aware, MN and WI Governors have placed our states in a stay-in-place order. One of these exceptions is necessary medical appointments and we feel strongly that TMS treatments, and other mental health services, is a necessary treatment given the debilitating nature of depression and anxiety orders. You may have also heard that non-essential businesses are being told to close their doors. I reassure you that treatment for depression is an essential service. Mental health is essential!
Patients that are experiencing any “flu like” symptoms, including shortness of breath, fever, tightening in chest, vomiting, and any other symptoms, will need to pause their treatments until two weeks following the disappearance of any symptoms. Depending on where you were at when you got sick, Duluth TMS can work with your insurance company to get a new authorization, so that you may start a new series.
Remember that “there is hope, even when your brain tells you theirs isn’t” and your mental health is important to us. Intakes and psychological evaluations can be done over the phone and over our webcam service. This means your first two appointments can be done from the comfort of your home. Did I mention that your intake/screening is free? Yup, free.
Don’t allow your depression to be your norm. We are here to help put your depression into remission. Follow us on Facebook for updates and check out our website where we have videos and other information to help you understand what TMS can do for you. Now is the time to take the leap and leave your depression behind.
You can call us at (218) 481-0220, submit an assessment on our website or give Brianna a text (if you prefer to text) at (218) 215-0835.
